Long Story Short: An Interview with Lisa Hanna

Launching a remarkable career across journalism, politics, and corporate life, Lisa Hanna discovered purpose in storytelling.

Welcome to ‘Episode 13’ of The Baylor Line’s flagship podcast, The Green RoomIn this episode, host Jonathon Platt and Lisa Hanna, Head of Public Affairs and Policy Communications at Delta Air Lines, trace a career that began in uncertainty and evolved into a life of purpose and impact.

By her senior year of college, Lisa was reporting full-time for KWTX – covering wildfires, congressional races, and George W. Bush’s weekends in Crawford.

We explore Lisa’s experiences of national events such as the Oklahoma City bombing, just a few blocks away from her high school. Covering tragic events, such as 9/11, revealed her risk-taking personality, which would help her become a leading force in a male-dominated field.

This isn’t just a dive into her career and love for Taylor Swift – it’s a story resilience, identity, and how the events we live through shape the world around us.

We’ll have more new episodes of The Green Room for you every Monday and Thursday – stay tuned for the incredible list of guests we’ve already lined up, namely:

  • Molly Murchie, Librarian, District of Columbia Public Schools
  • Craig Nash, Senior Editor, Good Faith Media
