Cleared for Takeoff: An Interview with Alexandra Benda

Alexandra Benda shares how leadership, perseverance, and a well-timed phone call shaped a career that’s anything but ordinary.

Welcome to episode two of The Baylor Line’s flagship podcast, The Green Room

In this episode, host Jonathon Platt sits down with former United States Marine Corps Reservist Alexandra Benda to explore a career that spans continents, combat zones, and the corridors of power. With a degree in Great Texts and over 13 years of military experience, Alexandra now serves as a Deployment Strategist at Air Space Intelligence – where she helps to track and coordinate multi-domain spaces.

Motivated by the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic, she got inspired to get her MBA from Penn State when she saw how society was not using their time wisely and wanted to feel prepared for what’s next in life.

After six years of flight experience in North Carolina, she reported to HMX-1 to fly President Trump and later President Biden to Israel. Her story is one of perseverance: after a period of discouragement, one phone call changed her life.

What’s next for Alexandra? You can catch her participating in an iron man or relaxing with a good book. No more spoilers! You’ll have to listen to find out more…

We’ll have more new episodes of The Green Room for you every Monday and Thursday – stay tuned for the incredible list of guests we’ve already lined up, namely:
