Attorney on the Launch Pad: An Interview with Howard Chang

Howard Chang tells us about his experience of being a neuroscience major to becoming a NASA Attorney, a story that is truly out of this world.

Welcome to ‘Episode Eight’ of The Baylor Line’s flagship podcast, The Green Room.

This time, we’re launching into orbit with one of Baylor’s brightest stars – Howard Chang, a NASA attorney whose work is out of this world.

Host Jonathon Platt sits down with Howard Chang to trace his incredible journey from the neuroscience labs at Baylor to the legal offices of NASA, where he now serves as lead attorney for Wallops Flight Facility.

Howard shares how a Baylor neuroscience degree, Pi Kappa Phi fraternity brother, and a bit of curiosity about the systems that govern people led him to law school at Georgetown. During his time in law school, he served as a symposium editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy and completed over 125 hours of pro bono work.

Did we mention he also coaches Georgetown’s rugby football club?

Buckle up and listen in – Chang’s story is full of lift-off moments you won’t want to miss.

We’ll have more new episodes of The Green Room for you every Monday and Thursday – stay tuned for the incredible list of guests we’ve already lined up, namely:

  • Eric Mathis, Associate pastor at Washington D.C.’s First Baptist Church
  • Douglas Silliman, President, Arab Gulf States Institute
  • Kristin Diwan, Senior Resident Scholar at the Arab Gulf States Institute
  • And so, so many more.

Oh, and to make sure you get each episode, make sure to subscribe to The Latest, The Weekly, or The Monthly newsletter from The Baylor Line. You can also follow our feed wherever you listen to podcasts — such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
