2025-2026 Fellowship Program
For the 2025-2026 academic year, there will be 7 fellowships available. In addition to a $5,000 scholarship (funded per semester), the package will come with a paid internship. As part of the fellowship, recipients will have the chance to work closely with The Baylor Line team, contributing to areas such as journalism, marketing, and communication, all while gaining invaluable skills and industry experience. Our program is designed to empower students to thrive, build the student’s workforce readiness, and make meaningful contributions to the Baylor community.
To ensure the success of every recipient and maintain a high standard of excellence, we have outlined specific eligibility criteria and program expectations that both applicants and recipients must meet. These requirements are integral to fostering a culture of growth, care, and excellence for each student involved.
- Student Status. Applicants must be current undergraduate students enrolled at Baylor University. They must be current students in journalism, marketing, communications, or other similar areas of study.
- Skills. Applicants must have developed skill sets in writing, design, PR, marketing, or digital media. At The Baylor Line, our goal is not only to help students cultivate their professional skills but also to nurture their passion and enthusiasm for their work. While prior experience in your field is highly encouraged, it is not a strict requirement.
- Ability to commit. Part of the uniqueness of the fellowship program is the opportunity to work alongside our team in our office. We ask that applicants understand the commitment required and are prepared to follow through with a minimum of 10 hours per week of work. This is a paid internship at a rate of $10 per hour, and we believe this hands-on experience will serve as a vital stepping stone for your professional development.
- Volunteer requirements. In addition to the internship hours, recipients are expected to volunteer at three Baylor Line events per semester. Failure to meet this commitment will disqualify the recipient from receiving continued fellowship support, including both the internship and scholarship benefits.
- Academic Excellence and Leadership. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.5. Involvement in an on-campus student organization is encouraged, but not required.
If you feel as though you meet the fellowship program requirements and your interest is sparked, please apply here.
