Baylor student from Ukraine speaks out“I was just devastated,” said Julia Ash, a freshman at Baylor, who was adopted from Ukraine. “I went to my friends and I was just crying. I couldn’t do anything, so we just sat in the corner and prayed for a while.” Her biological family is still in Ukraine, and she says she has lost communication with them. |

Baylor organist Joyce Jones remembered for passion for music, studentsDr. Jones was the Joyce Oliver Bowden Professor of Organ and Organist in Residence at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, from 1969 until her retirement in 2012. She passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. Friends and colleagues remembered her as a passionate advocate for the organ and her students and as a world-class talent at the keyboard.
