Position: Marketing Manager (Part-Time)

Organization Overview: Baylor Line Foundation, a 165-year-old alumni organization dedicated to serving Baylor graduates, is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Manager to join our small-but-mighty team. As publisher of the 78-year-old award-winning magazine, Baylor Line, we chronicle life within the Baylor Family, sharing stories that inspire, inform, and engage our extensive alumni network.

Role Summary: We are looking for a skilled Marketing Manager who will lead the execution of our digital marketing efforts, ensuring that our message reaches and resonates with alumni of all ages. This part-time position is ideal for a motivated junior or senior in college who excels in a fast-paced environment and is looking to make a significant impact in the nonprofit sector. Opportunities for full-time employment may be available later in 2024 and depend on individual and organization performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative digital marketing strategies to help us deliver on our revenue goals.
  • Lead projects that enhance engagement with the Baylor alumni community.
  • Oversee the production of digital content, including email campaigns, social media posts, and digital advertisements.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet engagement goals.
  • Work closely with the editorial team to ensure that marketing efforts align with the content and values of our brand.
  • Manage deadlines effectively, ensuring that all marketing initiatives are executed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in college, preferably with a focus in journalism, public relations, and new media, marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, including social media management, email marketing, and content creation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional design skills — including website, graphic, and production.
  • Able to learn new skills, develop weaknesses, and take feedback.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for storytelling and a commitment to the values of the Baylor Line Foundation.
